Anna Maria Baron

This is the last Will and Testament of me Anna Maria Baron of the Parish of Lostwithiel in the County of Cornwall Spinster. I give and bequeath fifty pounds Stock in the ??? three and half per Cents to each of the four Children of my late Sister Mary Wearn to be paid by my Executor the Revd. John Bower into the hands of their Uncle the Revd. James ??? and applied by him as he may think most advantageous to his Nephews and Nieces. I give and bequeath fifty pounds Stock in the ??? three and half per Cents to my Sister Jane Moyle. I give the sum of twenty pounds to my Niece Charlotte Beard twenty pounds to my Niece Anna Bell and twenty pounds to my Niece Emma Nichol. All the Remainder and residue of my funded property and all my Estate and Effects of what kind and nature soever I give to the Revd. John Bower Vicar of Lostwithiel his executors and administrators In Trust to convert the whole thereof (except what shall be in the ffunds at my decease) into money and place the same in the same ffunds. And upon further Trust to pay the dividends to arise from my said Property and Effects to my Sister Emma Hyde during her natural life for her own use and benefit. And after her decease upon Trust to divide the whole of my said property equally amongst her four daughters Catherine Emma Eliza and Anna Hyde. And I do hereby revoke any and every former Will and Testament made by me. In Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal this ninth day of April 1832. The Mark of Anna Maria Baron (SS). Signed and sealed by the Testatrix and by her published and declared to be her last Will and Testament in the presence of us. Eliza Scott - James W. Scott.

Proved at London 21st ffebruary 1834 before the Judge by the Oath of the Revd. John Bower Clerk the sole Executor to whom Administration was granted having been first sworn (by Commission) duly to administer.

Caveat:- Throughout the project UK GRO birth, marriage and death index data appears. The GRO data appears in Quarters. Q1 = January, February and March, Q2 = April, May, June , Q3 = July, August and September and Q4 = October, November and December. Similarly, Mar Q = January, February and March, Jun Q = April, May, June , Sep Q = July, August and September and Dec Q = October, November and December. Where these dates occur, they represent the date of Registration of the event rather than the date of the actual event. Logically, registration occurs AFTER the event. In some cases this may be days or months or even years after the event. The important thing is that the event was recorded and a copy of the document of registration could be obtained if necessary. This also applies to South African NAAIRS records.

Similarly, the UK system is confusing to the uninitiated because registration districts can span several counties. Accordingly GRO locations may not record the true location of the event. They do record where the record is actually kept or recorded.

Caveat #2:- I have used URL's throughout the website as sources. The URLs are often from paid subscription sites so you may not be able to access them without an account. Inevitably there are broken URL's. I have been to every URL recorded here and at the time they were operational. In this regard, the Ancestry24 records are a problem. There are numerous references in the South African data citing Ancestry24 records. Unfortunately Ancestry24 has closed down and these records are no longer available on line.

The early South African records on this site would not have been as good as they are without the work done by Delia Robertson.
