 He was married aged 16 since the document is signe in 1790 and he is described as John Rains' son in law. Ergo he married unknown Rains daughter of John Rains.
 
 In 1797 he married Frances Rathbone. Ergo Unknown Rains must have died.
 Frances died in 1839 so he was married to her for 30 odd years.
 
 He certainly was alive in 1822 where he is recorded as Deputy Marshall of King's Bench Prison.
