Representatives of the business, professional and political life of the Capital, Government official and members of the Bench and Bar, paid impressive tribute on Thursday afternoon to the memory of Godfrey B. Greene, general manager of the General Supply Company of Canada, Limited, and one of Ottawa's best known businessmen. Mr. Greene died suddenly on Monday..
The lengthy cortege left the residence at 44 Daly Avenue and proceeded to Christ Church Cathedral, where service was conducted by Very Rev. Dean E. T. Salmon, rector. Archbishop Roper pronouncing the benediction. Rev. H. H, Clark read the lesson. "Blessed Are They That Die In the Lord" was the anthem sung by the choir. Ushers were C. J. Mills, E. L. Bilttain. J. Grant Shaw and W. F. Wilson. Following the service the cortege proceeded to Beechwood cemetery, where Interment took place..
